You know there are some really really dope artists on Instagram and other social media platforms who I feel are SO dope, but sometimes are just off in the Cut chillin’.
This week I wanted to shine some light on a really dope Silk Press Artist I found in Cordova, TN Morgan Smith !
Now a days you don’t see many Hairstylist specializing in healthy medium length to long pressed tresses. For some reason it’s hard to find them these days with social media highlighting so many commercial installs at the moment. I feel that it is a true art to press textured hair and to provide that client with a silky smooth healthy looking style that has bounce and movement as well. Not to mention can also provide you with healthy color on top! Morgan Smith is definitely one of those stylist from what I can see through her work .Back in the day it was a feat to see a sistah pushing through rocking her own hair and it being healthy and long with lots of movement. It was and still is a wonderful thing to see. Morgan posts soft press after soft press highlighting her own craft with in her city of Cordova Tennessee! I love that most of her posts feature long tresses and most with some kind of color placement that looks healthy and vibrant. I had to go ahead and feature Boo because it is so refreshing to see this kind of artistry still pumping through .I know there are still many other talented Artists out there doing their thing and pumping out dope presses on textured hair however they may already have lots of visibility. Morgan seems to have a lot of dedication to her craft and is really providing quality work within her city. Shout out to Morgan Smith for shelling out some dope silk press artistry and continuing on in promoting some dope healthy tresses in these streets!
