Artist Spotlight - Raq Powers

You know there are some really really dope artists on Instagram and other social media platforms who I feel are SO dope, but sometimes are just off in the Cut chillin’. This week I am Highlighting a very dope Hair Artist / Colorist Raq Powers of Houston Texas !!

Now when it comes to hair artistry one thing I really respect is hair coloring. As I have said many times it takes many years to get a full confidence level on color. I have seen some of the dopest colorist get over looked because sometimes people can’t see the talent and value in the artistry of color placement on hair, especially texture hair. The consideration it takes and the preparation required to achieve certain tones can really be a feat!  Raq Powers is a colorist that shows her knowledge and skill through her amazing color work. I love the color pallets she chooses to use and the fortune she has to be blessed with clients who allow her to have so much creative freedom with her artistry on their heads crafting beautiful and sometimes unconventional color combinations. She has such amazing work that I had to give her some love and commend  her on showing up and showing out over there in Houston Texas. Raq is able to create beautiful Artistry all at the same time as running a salon space and providing a unique and relaxing experience for each client that visits her vibes. From the workspace bar , complimentary mini scalp massage included with your visit to the dedication to exceptional customer service Raq Powers is not playing in these streets. To see more of Raq Powers work you can catch her on IG @raqpowers or to learn more about her and her salon services visit her website www.photoreadysalon.com
