Artist Spotlight - Deshonica Kerrie

Deshonica Kerrie is an amazing and experienced Artist/Educator! Not only is she knowledgeable in haircuts, colors, and healthy hair; she is also an amazing texture specialist as well. Covering a large range of hair knowledge, Deshonica has traveled internationally and all over the United States. She has also traveled to places like Amsterdam, London, and Paris teaching the art of hairstyling using her amazing hair techniques. Deshonica is a well known Design Essentials Educator having have been with the company for over 19 years and contributing to a slue of their social media and YouTube hair tutorials. She has been featured in national publications such as Sophisticate’s Black Hair and has won many awards for her work including Educator of the year. Besides all her hair artistry she is also an inventor. She invented her DKurlrings which can be used to wet set hair to achieve a defined and beautiful structured curl pattern for all hair types.

Deshonica is an artist that inspires me because of her skill and humble personality. She is very helpful and willing to give advice to anyone. Deshonica has charm and grace that precedes her reputation. Her Moto is “Do all things with love."

This is one that I personally use and I’m sure it has blessed her throughout her successful career. Deshonica changes lives every week in her salon that is located in Sandy Springs, Georgia. Her specialty is healthy hair care and educating Cosmetologists as well as future hair stylists on the art of hair care.
