You know there are some really really dope artists on Instagram and other social media platforms who I feel are SO dope, but sometimes are just off in the Cut chillin’. This week I would like to highlight Haircutter and Colorist Corey Paul of Winston - Salem North Carolina!
I have been following Corey for a while. He is always posting really dope looks! Exceptional work in technical skills for hair color formulations. He can relax and color your hair beautifully! Which most of us know that it isn’t always an easy thing to do especially on how light one wants to go. Corey’s aesthetic I would say is one that is soft, detailed and edgy. From looking at his work, I can already tell that he has been highly educated in his craft. Corey has probably put in a lot of work by practicing for many years to get to the level he is now; especially with haircuts and color application.
Some stylist think that you can learn a few techniques, apply them and then presto! You're great! That is not always the case. I’m sure Corey could testify to this. It takes a lot of patience and practice to get to a point where you can visibly see exceptional work. I often say that the greatest hairstylists are the ones who have made the most mistakes. I’m sure Corey has had is share over the years as we all have. Good to know that he stuck with it to see how dope he is today! All those years don’t just give you excellent talent. They also give you wealth of knowledge and experience which can be very valuable as an educator which Corey has under his built as well.
For those of you who are looking for advanced education and training; you can sign up to attend his coloring class that he teaches through is very own academy. Besides being a dope stylist and educator he is also a business owner which makes him a triple threat in these streets!
Much respect to Corey! You keep doing what you do and representing real hair for this beauty industry! I salute you! Everyone can see more of Corey Paul’s work on IG @hairsuicide. Corey is located in Winston- Salem North Carolina.
